The Truth Behind Making Money Online
Being a little popular and experienced internet marketing guy, I
get bombarded with many questions like “how can I really make money
online?”, “is it really possible to make money online?”, “can I make
money online?”, “how to I make money from this?” , ” how do I make money
from that?” and much more related questions.
The truth is YES! You can actually make money on the internet, lots of money really, anyone can, even a monkey
Many people do not even know or try to know what internet marketing
itself is about but they want to make the money. While there isn’t much
wrong in doing this, you might get stuck very soon and your case will
be like that of OBJ (with due resket.lol), who went back to school (for
Bsc) only when it’s is not useful to him again. Yours might even be
worst because things might have turned upside down… Maybe your method
(the one you get started with) died and maybe you’ve threw away your
offline business because you believed you are good with what you are
earning.
In this post, I am going to take you through the basics of internet
marketing,in my personal view of it. Keep these pieces information in
mind to help you in the pursuit of online money.
When it comes to making money online, the concept is not really
different from the way it is offline, the difference comes in the way
things works. Just like in the offline business world, you need
something of value to offer. This could be a product or a service, and
you may be the owner or someone promoting it to get paid (affiliate).
You can even be a reseller, if the owner decided to sell out the resale
right.
You also need a shop/office just like in the offline business world,
but here a shop/office can only come inform of a website for people to
be able to locate you. Don’t get it twisted, because the website here
includes even Facebook, Nairaland, and anywhere else you could be found
online, whether it is your or someone else’s.
You will also need a payment system. Just like the functions of the
normal local bank, you need a way to charge your customers or get paid
with your commission.
Finally, you need people/potential customers. While you can spend
money on fliers, bills etc in the offline business world. You put time
and money on Search Engine optimization (SEO), social media, Pay per
click (PPC), etc in the online business world.
And let me state categorically that HYIP, Forex, Gambling (sport and
whichever form they are), casino, poker, betonmarket, etc are not some
types internet marketing. While I am not condemning them, I don’t even
recommend them because they are not in line with the normal business
concept, except you own such site or promoting them as an affiliate.
